Balayage... Celebrity hair color we all want!!
Balayage? Yes I said balayage! I know it sounds like a complicated thing but it's not... It's a new technique in hair coloring that is exactly what all the celebrities are doing. I wasn't really sure how to achieve such a color until I learned this new technique...what is it you ask? It's a color technique that is used to add high lights to hair without using foils. Balayage means to sweep.. I attended a class from a co-worker on balayage a couple of weeks ago. The class was great. It was neat because it has no foil and uses very little product. I had learned this technique a while back, however the color was bleeding onto the hair that I didn't want to color. Well, since then they have created a balayage bleach that doesn't bleed on the hair and dries from the outside in. Truly amazing for a hairdresser ! Lol it looks like you have a lil bit of rootage, then the mid shaft and ends of the hair looked sun kissed. It takes the main base color in hair and brightens it up naturally without looking totally streaky. It's amazing and if you have never tried this on your hair, ask your stylist if she has the proper training to use balayage. It's a bit more expensive, but the maintenance is easy and you can go a lot longer in between appointments. You can do a little or you can do a lot to change up your look. Try it.... I'm sure you will love it... Hope you guys had a great Monday! Xoxo bre p.s. I tried to upload pics from my Ipad and it won't let me... So hang in there I'll post of pics as soon as I learn how to do such thing... Good thing I do hair and not computers... I am technologically challenged.. For real!

Her husband told her for Christmas, she could color her hair back to blonde...so she called and I of course preformed the lovely long task of making her a blonde withour her hair falling out....mission accomplished! She loved it, and wants to even go lighter. but she knows its a gradual process and it doesnt happen overnight. Start the NEW Year with a "BANG"
Hi everyone...happy new year...wanted to let you all know the laptop has been broken, however we fixed it for christmas. SO Im back and ready to blog....I wanted ti start the new year with a simple tip....BANGS... if and when you get them cut, unless you go back to your stylist every 2 weeks... learn how to trim them yourself...be brave! be very brave.. cut them dry, so when they shrink up to a 1/2 inch they wont be in the middle of your forehead..if you cut them wet, you are more likely to cut too much. Be careful and don't tell your hairdresser I told you to cut your own bangs:)

Happy Holidays!!!
Hi everyone...sorry I've been on a lil break...but November and December are very busy.. I basically see my clientele in two months. Hope you all had a great turkey day and are gearing up for Christmas. On a hair note.. It's time to talk WEAR YOUR HAIR DOWN MONTH. The weather, no matter where you live in the U.S. is getting a bit chilly and the humidity is settling down. It's perfect for loose soft curls.. The question is....How do you achieve such great luscious beautiful hair? Answer, well it's all in the product and hair type. If you have wave or curl in your hair... style damp using Bumble and Bumble grooming cream. Take individual sections and twist using the cream... Let it air dry or blow dry on low. Once it's dry separate curls and use a light weight hairspray. Very pretty loose curls. I just attended a bumble class at the salon and I tried this in my curly hair(the babies gave it to me). If you have no wave... my suggestion is go to bed with your hair wet, take a large size barrel curling iron(ceramic of course.. it wont leave metallic in the hair)and use in big sections..spray with a heavier hair spray. Its a perfect thing to do for the holidays...so put away the flat iron for a week and try it.. let me know if it worked for ya..leave me some comments or send me a pic at brekirk@gmail.com...fa la la lala..la la la la
